Olivier Babinet and Fred Kihn

Olivier Babinet
Olivier Babinet is a self-taught talent. Since his early teenage years, he has been writing and producing radio dramas and photographic novels. At eighteen, he became a creative editor, working in various advertising agencies, in particular with Raymond Depardon for the newspaper Libération. His independent perspective along with an iconoclastic creativity allow him to travel freely between the world of advertising (Mercedes, Mikli, Volvic) and the world of short-films/music-videos (broadcasted on Canal+, MTV, MCM, M6…). Olivier Babinet is the co-creator of successful short serie Le Bidule (aka Whatchamacallit) which was broadcasted during two years by Canal+. Olivier Babinet also directed in 2003 C'était le Chien d'Eddy, a short film that was broadcasted by Canal+ as part of a series on the theme of happiness and more recently C'est plutôt genre Johnny Walker (aka It’s more Johnny Walker like – Special Jury Prize at Clermont Ferrand 09). In 2008, Olivier Babinet is short-listed by the US magazine Boards among 30 other worldwide “Directors To Watch“. ROBERT MITCHUM IS DEAD is his first Long Feature film.

Fred Kihn
After being a truck driver, an ambulance driver, a teacher and a worker in a sausage factory, Fred Kihn took a dramatic turn into photography explorating the themes of violence, games and portraiture within society. From 1999 to 2001, Fred Kihn was the Director of Photography for TV miniserie Le Bidule where he met Igor Wojtowicz and Olivier Babinet. Fred Kihn has had five exhibitions of his work Paris. His photographs are regularly published in newspapers and magazines such as Libération, Télérama and Le Monde Diplomatique. For the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, Fred Kihn produced a daily photo series on the different genres of cinema for newspaper Libération.
