Sex is about what is forbidden not what is available

Lena is a talented obstetrician and gynecologist, and her husband Sergey is an actor in a provincial theater. Their relationship is tender and close, but totally devoid of sex. Lena suspects that Sergey is having an affair, but she suffers silently without letting her jealousy show. Instead of finding out what is going on, Lena starts cheating on him with random men. Slowly but surely, Lena’s acts of infidelity spin out of control, re-writing her life.

Nigina Sayfullaeva

Nigina Sayfullaeva was born in Tajikistan in 1985. After getting her degree in history of arts she graduated as a director from High Courses of Scriptwriters and Film Directors in Moscow. After a few multiple award-winning short films, she directed her debut Name me (2014). It got a special award in Tallinn and participated in New Directors program in San Sebastian. In 2017 Nigina participated together with another five most promising Russian directors in the anthology film About Love widely released in autumn 2017. FIDELITY is Nigina’s second feature.
